The National Coalition Party in Helsinki is the local constituency-level association of the National Coalition Party of Finland in the Helsinki constituency. It serves as an umbrella organisation for approximately 50 different local party branches active in the Helsinki area and is responsible for the party's activities in the capital, including local organisational activity, communication and elections. One of the central aims of the National Coalition Party in Helsinki is to influence policy and decision-making in the capital.

The National Coalition Party is the leading and most influential party in Helsinki. In last local elections in 2008, we got 29,2 per cent of the vote and 26 of 85 members of the City Council. The next biggest parties in Helsinki are the greens with 21 members and social democrats with 16 members. Lord Mayor of Helsinki Jussi Pajunen and deputy mayor Laura Räty who is in charge of health and social welfare are our members.

In the parliamentary elections in 2007, our party got 30 per cent of the vote in Helsinki and 8 of 21 members of Parliament from Helsinki. In the present Vanhanen-Katainen government of Finland we have one minister from our ranks: Jan Vapaavuori in charge of housing and metropolitan affairs.

The highest decision-making organ in the National Coaliton Party in Helsinki is the Congress of the local party branches. The congress elects a board of 12 members. The board is chaired by Principal Mrs. Sirkka Lekman. The organisation is run on a day to day basis by a full-time Executive Director, Mr Janne Pesonen, who reports to the board. The office of the organisation is situated in Viiskulma, in the heart of Helsinki.
